Born and raised in Western PA, I fondly call Pittsburgh my home. I have been creating artwork at Blood Eagle tattoo since 2015. Here, I learned the trade of tattooing from my mentors Erin and Amber lambert.  The owners lovingly took me on as an apprentice not long after I graduated High School.  Aware of my passion and desire to make art for a living, they introduced me to a new medium.  This naturally became my new fixation and a challenge to pour my heart into.  Up to that point, my interest lay predominately in the art of realism. Using charcoals, I found a love for portraiture and still life.  At sixteen , I fortunately had the opportunity of traveling to Poland, accompanying a dear friend.  That experience would set the tone for years to come! Inspiring not only my wanderlust for travel, but further deepening my desire to recreate which I see and cherish.  Using photographs from my travels, I began recreating the city landscapes and architecture with acrylics. Not long after discovering this love for painting I started creating portraits in oil paint. I experimented in ceramics as well.  Shortly after this period, I embarked on my path of tattooing which has been my predominant focus for nearly the past decade.

Working at a custom studio, I enjoy finding creative ways to bring my client's ideas to life. Each piece remarks the ever-evolving influence of my artistic vision.  tattooing offers me a space to explore working with graphic design in so many different styles.  Be it bold and traditional or fine line and illustrative, I truly enjoy the variation.  technically challenging pieces are so satisfying for me.  I find inspiration in nature.  The patterns of bark and intricate laying of leaves on a stem of moss captivates me. I love the textures of stone, how they fragment and boast wildly colorful patches of lichen.  Tombstones are always a great example of this.  Interpersonally I often notice much duality in my thoughts and experiences. I enjoy depicting this state with imagery of life and death. Bones and flowers. Something we all can relate to.  I'll just as gladly tattoo a mace in heavy blackwork as I would a fine line baby's breath cluster.  That's what I dig, along with antique artifacts.  I think the filigree of a rod iron fence is striking.  Imagine elements of Baroque and Gothic architecture rendered with a pen and ink style, accented by loose, high contrast brush strokes.  This would make for a fantastic tattoo.  Things like vases, glass containers and decor of the Victorian and Art Nouveau are exquisite to me.  Apart from my interest in art, I revolve much of my life around music.  I've traveled throughout Europe and bits of Scandinavia to see bands that I love.  I usually go to multiple shows a month, whether they're local or in a nearby state.  Live music is certainly my outlet.  My folks exposed me to a variety of genres at a young age ranging from rock'n'roll, punk, and country to oldies.  My diverse taste has only amplified over the years.  My love for travel remains present.  Much of my free time these days consists of visiting my family or beautifying my home and garden.  I find home design to be a wonderful artistic outlet outside of tattooing.
